1614. Germany. Teutonic Order. Grandmaster Maximilian of Austria 2 Taler. Hall mint. KM-5854. KM-30. Sharp strike, cabinet gray with underlying shades of purple and gold. Superb preservation and presentation of this broad flan type. NGC MS-63.

1614 CO. Teutonic Order. Grandmaster Archduke Maximilian (1612-1618) Taler. DAV-3320. KM-188.2. Tyrol, Hall Mint. Exceptionally preserved for the type, with the devices crafted to admirable relief, the fields lustrous and enhanced by a fine silver patina that transitions to touches of pale gold at the edges. An impressive selection which would be difficult to meaningfully improve upon. PCGS MS-65.

1616 CO. Austria. Grandmaster Archduke Maximilian (1612-1618) Taler. DAV-3322A. Tyrol, Hall Mint. Exceptionally preserved for the type, with a clear strike and pronounced toning. Superb piece. NGC MS-64.

1614. Alsace. Ensisheim Mint. Archduke Maximilian III (1612-1618) 2 Taler. DAV-3325, KM-280. Obv: Draped and cuirassed bust of the Archduke right, wearing Teutonic Order chain. Date below. Rev: Crowned complex arms with cross of the Teutonic Order at centre, flanked by small shields of Upper Alsace and Ferrette. Compelling for its type and nearly Mint State, with even gunmetal patination permeating russet- and cobalt-tinged devices. An ornately decorated multiple Taler rarely encountered in this fine a condition and sure to interest collectors of the series.
