Obverse with the crowned Pillars of Hercules rising from the sea, banners inscribed PLVS VLTRA, flanking the crowned hemispheres; VTRAQUE VNUM around, assayers M·F at sides, date 1741 below. Reverse with the crowned Spanish Bourbon arms encircled by PHILIP·V·D·G·HISPAN·ET·IND·REX. Even grey-silver toning; light, scattered marks consistent with the grade. An attractive and historically important example of the premier global trade coin of the 18th century. NGC MS-63.
